SYNOPSIS
This film is a reflection on the concepts of truth and lie, through a small village in Southern Brazil, known as Nova Bréscia, which holds a competition to detect the best liar in the region. The local people swear that they don’t lie; only the outsiders to the village lie. Like Osmar, the mayor of a nearby town who claims that he found Osama Bin Laden. Life goes on peacefully in the community, yet while everyone prepares for the event, other sorts of lies emerge outside of the festival and nobody takes notice.
