The history of punk in Spain can only be told as it emerged: taking what we can from the rubbish (in this case from Youtube and mass culture) in an exhaustive tour of communities (Andalusia too, of course) which shakes us up, and turn us around, leaving us feeling batteries thanks to the powerful guitars and lyrics. A story that Kikol Grau has built around a satire in which Poltergeist or Star Wars serve as a “film voodoo” to narrate the story of this other great dump that gave rise to punk: Franco’s regime, the same one that the Spanish transition swept under the carpet.
